As a member of our consulting team, you'll guide our clients through the implementation of CRM technology and best business practices, so that they maximize the value from their CRM investment. Our implementation model involves both on-site client work, as well as remote work that we perform from our Oak Brook, IL headquarters. In this role, you'll likely be supporting both customers and integration partners in their efforts.
The Project Manager typically works with small to mid-sized clients implementing the InterAction software suite. Typical projects range from (30-150 consulting days, and involve 2-5 part-time consultants).
Our clients are the world's premier Professional Services organizations - Law Firms, Investment Banks, Asset Management Firms, Consultancies and Accounting Firms. Project Managers will wear many hats and must have strong skills / experience in project management and business analysis / business process design.
As a Project Manager / Technology, you will be engaged on a variety of projects. In some cases, you may be asked to deliver a small implementation project completely independently. This would involve ongoing project management, but would also require hands on technical work such as data conversion / migration and system installation and configuration. In other cases you may manage a small team of consultants (2 - 3 including yourself).
We rely on every member of the team to contribute above and beyond their billable client responsibilities. As part of the team, you'll be responsible for helping us improve the quality of our services and deployment methodology, and helping us to grow the consulting business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans for client implementations (typically 30-150 days)
- Lead kickoff meetings and participate in or lead requirements gathering sessions
- Translate functional requirements into a technical system design
- Conceptualize and design creative technical solutions to meet our clients' needs.
- Participate in the development of custom solutions / validate the work of the consultants doing the development.
- Design custom integrations to meet unique business requirements. Oversee implementation.
- Produce project status reports and manage to the project budget
- Manage scope and deliver change orders
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our deployment methodology to help us maximize client satisfaction and results.
- On smaller projects, you may be asked to:
- Complete a system installation
- Configure our windows and web products using our configuration tools
- Import basic data sets or develop data conversion routines using SQL Server tools and our products.
Experience/Skills:
- 4-7 years experience in implementation consulting for a consulting firm, integrator, or professional services division of a software company
- 2+ years of Project Management experience
- Ability to develop and build client relationships
- 2+ years experience with RDBMS (SQLServer or Oracle)
- 2 + years experience with web development (JSP, Javascript, .Net)
- CRM experience a plus (knowledge of Siebel, SalesLogix, Pivotal, or Onyx a plus; Sales Force Automation preferred versus Contact Center)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
- Must have ability to work with non-technical clients to achieve business objectives
- Hands-on experience in producing tangible deliverables (project plans, requirements specifications, design deliverables, system configuration, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
- Experience consulting to any of the following industries is a plus:

Other Considerations
- POSITION REQUIRES a willingness to travel 60% of the time on average. Typically consultants are on the road 2-3 days per week. Occasional periods of 100% travel may be required. To date, this has not included any long-term (> 1 month) out of town assignments.
- MUST have an understanding of the consulting lifestyle. At times, client commitments will require extensive overtime. A 50-hour week is typical.
- Consultants and Senior Consultants currently have a billable utilization target of 65-70%.
