Senior Account Executive

The Senior Account Executive is a key member of the LexisNexis InterAction sales organization. You will be responsible for selling the InterAction product suite directly to customers in an assigned territory and/or accounts. Your responsibilities will include following up sales leads, generating new major account leads, demonstrating, managing, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities. There is currently one open position based in Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Meet and/exceed annual sales quota with extremely competitive commission earnings potential.
- Responsible for full sales cycle, from leads to on going account relationships.
- Proven territory development skills. Must be able to generate and qualify excellent customer leads.
- Able to identify decision-makers and build strong relationships with customers.
- Superior professional presence and business acumen.
- Creation of proposal and answering of RFPs.
- Handling technical objections and clearly articulating the product architecture and its benefits.
- Coordinating with Professional Services to insure a smooth transfer of knowledge to facilitate the implementation process.
- Maintain clear understanding of how existing customers are utilizing InterAction.
Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, business or technical field. MBA desirable.
- 5+ years sales experience selling business software application and understanding of client server technology.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- A hunger for success and a passion for cultivating client relationships.
- Experience selling in the professional services industry a plus.
- Expected travel moderate to high within specific sales territory.
- The ideal candidate will live within the territory - no relocations.
