Plumtree Gadget Web Services are plug-in portal components that deliver key services from enterprise applications and Internet sites to the business desktop. InterAction is the leading client relationship management (CRM) solution for professional services. It aggregates and manages a firm's internal competitive information about people, companies, relationships, experience and expertise and transforms it into Relationship Intelligence.

The new InterAction Gadget Web Services are components for integrating InterAction capabilities into the Plumtree Corporate Portal, offering customers a comprehensive solution for extending CRM capabilities to professional services firms that use corporate portals as the gateway to their business resources.

The InterAction Gadget Web Services expand Plumtree's offerings in the professional services CRM category. The Gadget Web Services are designed to allow professionals to access their Relationship Intelligence on a personalized Internet desktop that also incorporates those users' e-mail, reports, and market news. With access to Relationship Intelligence from the Plumtree Corporate Portal, professionals can quickly ascertain a 360° view of their client and contact relationships, which is essential for optimizing business development, differentiation and client service.

The new Gadget Web Services for InterAction take advantage of a tiered application server written in JAVA and using Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) code. The InterAction Gadget Web Services were developed by Interface Software at the Plumtree Gadget Workshop, an online environment for building gadgets at http://workshop.plumtree.com. They are currently available for customers to preview at the Plumtree Gadget Showroom at http://showroom.plumtree.com. Both sites are part of the Plumtree Gadget Factory.
