Interface Software and AvantGo Form Strategic Alliance

Alliance will give Interface Software's InterAction® users added flexibility for mobile access to Relationship Intelligence

OAK BROOK (IL)/SAN MATEO (CA), 17 September, 2001: Today Interface Software and AvantGo, Inc. announced a strategic alliance. The two companies have agreed to work together to develop advanced mobility options for Interface Software's professional services client relationship management (CRM) solution, InterAction.

The leading provider of mobile infrastructure software and services, AvantGo provides an end-to-end software solution that enables companies to build and deepen relationships with their workforce, partners and customers. Its mobile applications and productivity solutions deliver corporate data and applications onto mobile devices, replicating important information for wireless, off-line and on-demand or push access. AvantGo M-Business Server's support in an off-line environment enables mobile users to review and update important data when a wireless connection is unavailable.

AvantGo and Interface Software are jointly developing an enhanced mobile access to the InterAction database. The companies are currently building a Mobile Relationship Intelligence Channel, a channel allowing wireless device users to synchronize, wirelessly or offline through a desktop PC, selected Relationship Intelligence—internal information about people, companies, relationships, experience and expertise that is aggregated and managed by InterAction—either on a regular basis or periodically via direct connection. The joint mobile solution will ultimately allow lawyers, accountants, consultants and other professionals to access Relationship Intelligence in online or offline environments.
