Interface Software Acquires Scout Solutions
Cements InterAction's leading position as the CRM solution of choice for professional services firms and similar relationship-based organizations
OAK BROOK (IL) 19 April, 2004: Interface Software announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement by which it has acquired the assets of Scout Solutions. This acquisition cements Interface Software's leadership in the CRM space and underscores the company's long term strength and viability as the premier provider of CRM solutions to the professional services industry.
"Consolidation is a natural process in a maturing marketplace," said Nathan Fineberg, Interface Software's president and CEO. "As the market leader in Relationship Intelligence we are always looking for complementary technologies to build upon our strong base. Scout Solutions' customers and its great technology offer a natural fit and will further strengthen our offerings."
With the launch of InterAction in 1996, Interface Software was the first provider to develop a vertical CRM solution tailored to the unique Relationship Intelligence needs of professional services and similar relationship-based organizations. Today, Interface Software retains an overwhelming market share in the lucrative professional services sector, with 400 customers including some of the largest and most prestigious services firms in the world.
Founded in 1999 Scout Solutions introduced its Aptus CRM product, which was deployed by a number of large professional services organizations. "This acquisition further strengthens Interface Software's broad reach in the marketplace and underscores our long term commitment to providing outstanding CRM solutions for relationship-based organizations," said Fineberg.
As part of the acquisition Brett Balmer, Scout Solutions' president and founder, has joined Interface Software as the company's director of technology. In addition, other members from the sales and support staff will also be joining the Interface Software team. "This acquisition is a win-win situation for Interface Software and Scout Solutions customers, said Balmer. "Our goal has always been to focus on building outstanding products and exceeding the needs of our customers. In my new capacity I will have greater time and resources to focus on technology innovation, which ultimately will allow us to deliver more value to customers in less time."
