Interface Software Wins STC Technical Communication Award
InterAction 5.1 CRM documentation recognized in international technical publications category of competition
OAK BROOK (IL) 26 April, 2004: Interface Software announced today that it has received a merit award from the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The award is part of STC's annual technical communication competitions program, which highlights the best examples of the art and science of technical communication. The documentation set for InterAction 5.1, Interface Software's market-leading CRM solution for professional services organizations, won the merit award in STC's international technical publications competition (ITPC), after having won the distinguished award in that same category in the Chicagoland regional competition.
"The thought and effort we invest in our software documentation reflects Interface Software's overall culture of excellence and commitment to customers," said Chris Vorderer, Interface Software's vice president of customer and partner services. "We are honored to have won this award and are proud to be recognized in a category that has such a direct impact on the customer experience."
STC sponsors the ITPC to determine, recognize, and encourage excellence in communication through printed media. The competition honors technical writers and editors who set the standards for published technical communication.
Winners in the ITPC are selected by consensus. Three-judge panels evaluate each entry for such qualities as production, design and typography, copyediting, content and organization, and graphics. In addition, a winning publication must meet the stated purpose for the intended audience.
"Credit for this award goes to our outstanding team of technical writers whose work is unparalleled in the industry," said Matt Thompson, Interface Software's director of documentation and training. "They understand the technical intricacies of InterAction, are able to identify the needs of the various types of customers that read our documentation and determine the appropriate communication."
