Freehills Selects Interface Software's InterAction® for CRM

Relationship Intelligence, integration and data quality were key to decision

OAK BROOK (IL) 10 May, 2004: Interface Software announced today that the Australian law firm, Freehills, has selected InterAction to support the firm's client relationship management (CRM) strategy. Freehills will leverage InterAction to centralize the firm's Relationship Intelligence, support its collaborative culture and facilitate more effective marketing and business development programs.

"After investigating the various CRM products available to us, InterAction was the obvious choice," said Russell Wright, Freehills' director of information services. "It provides the vast majority of the functionality we need right out of the box."

Freehills decided to search for a CRM solution when national integration in June 2000, made effectively managing client data an increasingly important activity. Successful management of this information would increase the efficiency of Freehills' lists, targeted marketing programs and national campaigns. Also, with all the formerly federated Freehills offices now integrated within a single, national entity, the firm wanted to encourage greater collaboration amongst all its lawyers. "InterAction will be used as a tool to streamline our management of client information and consolidate our business development efforts," commented Wright.

A number of factors contributed to Freehills' decision to select InterAction. The system is currently deployed at more than 400 leading professional services and relationship-based organizations worldwide, including more than a dozen of Australia and New Zealand's top firms.

Moreover, InterAction's seamless integration with other applications the firm was running, including CMS Open practice management system and Microsoft Outlook, would help ensure a more effective deployment. "For instance, lawyers are already used to managing their contacts in Outlook's address book, and with InterAction they can continue to do so without any additional work or learning curve. This will tremendously encourage acceptance."

Finally, the unique data quality and data change management tools built into InterAction that help ensure data reliability were of primary import to Freehills.
