Relationship Intelligence viewed as key to enhancing client service and development
OAK BROOK (IL) 16 June, 2004: Interface Software announced today that the Chicago-based CPA firm, William F. Gurrie & Co. (Gurrie) has selected InterAction, the market-leading CRM solution for professional services and similar relationship-based organizations, as the cornerstone of the firm's CRM strategy. The firm is deploying InterAction to bolster its business development and referral tracking abilities, ensure high quality and consistent communications amongst client team members and streamline its marketing and client communications programs.

Gurrie chose InterAction to solve specific challenges resulting from the firm's continued growth. First, as professionals become more mobile, communicating across client teams and keeping team members up to date has grown more difficult. "On occasion we'd have situations in which staff members who were meeting with clients were unaware of conversations that had taken place about the engagement," said Cole. "We needed to fix this before it became a significant problem."
InterAction not only provides a single repository to store client information, but its My Watch List function also alerts team members when important activities occur to contacts they are watching. Gurrie uses this function to automatically notify team members when important emails, phone calls and meetings take place with clients. It also helps the client relationship manager know when important events are not occurring. "We're also using InterAction as a monitoring system," explained Cole. "For example, it will alert me if there hasn't been client contact in a period of time, which is something I need to know about."
Gurrie is also employing InterAction to automate its client communications and marketing functions. Lists used for client newsletters, mailings, seminars and other outreach will be centrally managed in InterAction. The firm will also deploy the system for campaign management, referral and lead tracking and analysis. "We try to take a systematic approach to marketing," commented Cole. "Communicating efficiently with our clients is key to delivering good service. If you can't do this, you're going to be left behind."
